Hong Kong - Feb 08

The brilliant Peak Tram - it was a great way to get to the top of the Peak although at some stages because of climb you were pinned back in your seat!

Views from the Peak day and night. We went up several times and it was wonderful watching how the city changes throught the day. We had a good meal at the Peak and watched the sun set over Hong Kong.

Mike trying to master the art of chopsticks! Tricky things these noodles!

This is the Po Lin Buddha, I think it is Asia's largest seated outdoor Buddha and it was an amazing sight - once we had climbed the 268 steps!

We spent at day at Oceanpark, an amusement and wildlife park. We saw a great dolphin show and we managed to see several panda bears - they looked so cute - so cute in fact that we had to buy a couple and bring home - not real of course!

At night Hong Kong comes alive with all the buildings lit up and the neon signs in the streets. Luckily we managed to catch a few of the buildings still with their New Year celebrations.

Along the waterfront they have the Avenue of Stars dedicated to their famous actors and actresses, just like Hollywoods Walk of Fame.

Disneyland Hong Kong was great fun. We all had our photo's taken with Mickey and Minnie. The park was pretty much similar to those of California and Paris but a lot smaller. A good day was had by all.

Mike enjoying Autopia - riding the cars. We had a chase - Sophie followed by Marie then Mike. Sophie won!

We went dolphin watching one day which was amazing - the dolphins are pink and white rather than the normal grey. We could easily see them jumping out of the water and gracefully diving back in. It was wonderful to see them in their natural environment.

This was a truely amazing holiday - so many different things to see and do.
