Hong Kong May 2007
I was lucky enough to see an original Junk at Deep Water Bay. After this I went on to Stanley Market where I had fun bargaining for everything. I managed to buy Sophie a silk hand embroidered dressing gown for less than £4.00! A very busy market but such bargains.
Lots of the buildings had these above them which lit up at night. They were so beautiful and vibrant.
Hong Kong as seen from my hotel - wonderful sight to see each morning.
The local market selling fruit, veg, meat and fish - most of which were still very much alive!
I went across the water from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon on the Star Ferry. From the water you could see how magnificint the buildings were.
The streets came alive at night with all the neon signs. Most of the shops were open until past midnight - a definite shoppers paradise. I don't think that the people of Hing Kong ever sleep!
The wonderful Hong Kong skyline at night - these buildings were just by the hotel and the water front. All the main buildings light up at night and while I was there fireworks were also set off. This is truely an amazing city.
